By integrating a downstream heat exchanger, the hot exhaust gases are cooled until the water vapour within them condenses. This process allows the latent heat stored in the vapour to be recovered and reused, significantly improving energy efficiency.
In commercial applications, exhaust gas temperatures typically ranging from 40°C to 50°C—substantially lower than those of conventional systems. These lower temperatures not only reduce energy consumption by up to 10% but also contribute to lower operational costs and carbon emissions. When combined with building envelope improvements—such as upgraded glazing or external insulation—the energy savings can be even more substantial.
