Freestanding industrial stacks

At Jeremias UK, we design and manufacture freestanding industrial stacks, also known as windshields, at our Blackpool facility, the largest production site in the UK for this type of solution. These self-supporting structures are engineered to accommodate single or multiple flue liners, and are the go-to solution for data centresenergy centres, and mission-critical infrastructure where flue heights exceed 25 metres and structural independence is essential.

UK’s largest production capacity for freestanding steel chimney stacks – backed by global engineering expertise

Whether for a single generator or a multi-line CHP installation, Jeremias windshields offer unmatched flexibility, safety, and performance—delivered through a turn-key service that includes design, structural calculation, fabrication, transport, and installation.

Complete Range of Systems

Jeremias offers three main freestanding stack systems, each tailored to specific project needs:

  • FSA:
Double-wall insulated chimney with a load-bearing external shell and single internal liner. Ideal for high-rise installations with thermal and structural separation.
  • FSA-X:
Multi-liner version of the FSA, supporting two or more internal flue liners within a single external stack. Perfect for data centres and energy hubs with multiple generator sets or heat sources
  • FSB:
A compact solution where the internal liner also acts as the structural support, eliminating the need for an external shell. Ideal for urban or space-constrained sites
